The Syntheosciurus brochus images in Wikkipedia and on the EOL species page are incorrect-- these are instead Sciurus granatensis, which occurs in the same habitat and is easier to find.

These are photos of Sciurus granatensis, NOT Syntheosciurus brochus. The two species share habitat in some parts of the cloud forests on three volcanoes in Costa Rica and Panama, but Syntheosciurus tend to be found at the highest altitudes, and have very short ears nearly hidden in fur. I can send proper photos, if I know where to send them.
