Galium parisiense is a sprawling slender annual herb that reaches up to 15-25 cm long, with much-branched, sharply 4-angled stems, retrorsely spinulose along the angles. Leaves are arranged in 5-7-whorls around the stem; they are lanceolate, with acute apex, and slightly revolute margins. Flowers are greenish-white and arranged in axillary and terminal cymes.the fruit is composed of 2-lobed, subglobose, minutely papillose mericarps clothed by short bristles.
