Introduction

Ross (1967) divided the Integripalpia into a "leptocerid" branch, and a "limnephilid" branch. Weaver (1984) followed Ross' divisions, and called the leptocerid branch "Plenitentoria", and the limnephilid branch "Brevitentoria". He then divided the Brevitentoria into Leptoceroidea, and Sericostomatoidea.
