Range Description

This species was obtained in September 2000 and August 2001 from Phan Thiet and Ham Tan fish markets (Viet Nam). According to fishermen, the snakes were caught mainly by sea-going trawlers operating in the South China Sea. One specimen has been collected from the "East Indian Archipelago", though it is unknown from which specific locality (Rasmussen et al. 2007).
