A small- to medium-sized, rather depressed gecko, with a maximum recorded SVL of 48 mm. Head moderately high. Nostril bor­dered by rostral, 3 nasals and usually the first upper labial (in 69% of cases), upper nasals mostly not in contact (in 89% of cases). 8-11 supralabials; 7-8 infralabials.Two pairs of postmen-tals present, length of suture between the anterior pair is longer than the mental. There are 38-48 gulars. Dorsal scales granular and fine, dorsal tubercles small, moderately keeled. There are 33-39 ventrals across mid-abdomen. Limbs somewhat short and thick. Digital pads moderately expanded. Lamellae under first toe 5-8, under fourth toe 8-11. Tail almost smooth dorsally, with a few small, indistinct tubercles, restricted to the 5 anterior seg­ments of the tail; subcaudals are weakly expanded along the medial line. Basic dorsal coloration pinkish brown, translucent. Pattern made of a series of dark spots, arranged longitudinally along mid-dorsum, but this is often indistinct. Tail with numer­ous irregular, narrow, dark bands (16-18, n-15), which are of equal intensity along the entire length of the tail. Males with 6-7 preanal pores.
