Range Description

Cypripedium japonicum occurs in East Asia and is found in Japan (Awaji, Kyushu, south Hokkaido, northeastern Honshu, Sado and Shikoku); both Korea's (HwaCheon-gun, GangWon-do, GaPyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, PoCheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, MuJu-gun, Jeollabuk-do, ChangNyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do); and China (Anhui, Zhejiang, Hunan, Hubei, Shaanxi, Ganzu, Sichuan, and Guizhou).The extent of occurrence(EOO)is estimatedat 3,770,000kmand the area of occupancy(AOO)is estimatedat 400km.Cy. japonicum can be found between 1,000 and 2,000 m altitude.
