Dendrobium cunninghamii is a synonym for Winika cunninghamii, and is a rainforest orchid endemic to New Zealand. It is found in moist forests on both South and North Islands as well as Rakiura and Chatham Islands. An example specific occurrence is in the Rakiura Island temperate forests.

Known by the common English name Christmas orchid or Maori name Winika, this attractive orchid is generally epiphytic. This species is the sole member of the monotypic genus Winika.
