Range Description

Cypripedium arietinum is found from northeastern North America and the Great Lakes region, west to Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The species occurs specifically in USA [Connecticut (SH), Maine (S1), Massachusetts (S1), Michigan (S3), Minnesota (S2), New Hampshire (S1), New York (S2), Vermont (S2), Wisconsin (S2)] and Canada [Manitoba (S2S3), Nova Scotia (S1), Ontario (S3), Quebec (S3), Saskatchewan (S1)].

The extent of occurrence (EOO) is estimated at 1,180,348 km and the area of occupancy (AOO) is estimated at 368 km .

The species can be found from sea level up to 1,000 m altitude.
