Range Description

Chamorchis alpina is a European orchid of the boreal-alpine zone, endemic to subarctic and subalpine Europe, Carpathians and Scandinavian Alps, northwards reaching almost the Kola Peninsula. The species can be found from 2,000 to 2,700 m altitude. (Bournérias and Prat 2005, Delforge 1995, GIROS 2009, Pignatti 1982, Rossi 2002, Vakhrameeva et al. 2008).
