Range Description

Zostera chilensis is endemic to Chile (Kuo 2005). It has been found only in Herradura Bay (Philippi 1864), Salado Bay (Phillips et al. 1983) and Tongoy Bay (Gonzalez and Edding 1990). Zostera chilensis has a disjunct population and is now found only in one location in Chile. It has an area of occupancy of less than 10 km.
