Range Description

Najas pectinata is an African endemic. In North Africa, the species is of limited distribution and is restricted to Egypt (at El-Fayoum) and Algeria, where it occurs at one site. However, it is widespread in Western Africa and found in South Africa. (e.g. in Lake Chad and in Madagascar). Widespread in Tropical Africa and Tropical Asia.
