Range Description

Syringodium isoetifolium has a wide Indo-Pacific distribution. In the Pacific, it is found from southern Japan, Taiwan and Hainan, China, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia extending to the south tip of Vietnam and across insular Southeast Asia to Fiji and Samoa, Micronesia and across northern Australia and the Great Barrier Reef.

In the Indian Ocean, it is found from Geographe Bay in Western Australia extending north across the Timor Sea, the south coast of Indonesia, and throughout the Andaman Sea to Myanmar and along the Coromandel and Malabar Coasts in India, to Sri Lanka, and the Maldives Islands and Chagos Archipelago. It ranges from the Gulf of Oman to the Red Sea, south to Mozambique, and to Madagascar and the islands of the western Indian Ocean.
