Range Description

This species is thought to occur only in Montagne d'Ambre in northern Madagascar, at about 1,000 m elevation (Glaw et al 1999, Raxworthy and Nussbaum 1995). The park has an area of 385 km, although due to its apparently very narrow elevational range the lizard's true distributional extent is likely to be considerably smaller, and may be below 100 km (C. Raxworthy pers. comm. June 2011).
