Range Description

This species is thought to occur only in Montagne d'Ambre in northern Madagascar, at about 1,000 m elevation (Glaw et al 1999, Raxworthy and Nussbaum 1995). The park has an area of 385 km², although due to its apparently very narrow elevational range the lizard's true distributional extent is likely to be considerably smaller, and may be below 100 km² (C. Raxworthy pers. comm. June 2011).
