Range Description

This snake occurs in Costa Rica and adjacent Panama. In Costa Rica, it is found on both slops of the Cordilleras de Tilarn and and Volcnica Central (Savage 2002). In Panama, it occurs in the Cordillera de Talamanca (Jaramillo et al. 2010). The species' elevation range is from 300 to 1,935 meters (Wilson and Johnson 2010). Reports from lower elevations and in the Cordillera de Talamanca are likely to be errors (A.Solrzano, personal communication).
