Range Description

This species is known with certainty only from Mokwa in northern Nigeria (Dunger 1965). It was described based on a single specimen from "West Africa". It is not known whether this was collected in the same area as the confirmed record. Dunger (1965) notes that one of the localities visited by Baikie (who collected the holotype) was Jebba, only 18 miles from Mokwa. Dunger (1965), however, opins that differences between the holotype and the Mokwa series suggest that the holotype was not collected in this area.
