This species is endemic to southwest Iran, where it is known only from the type locality of '35 km E Gach Saran [30º20'N, 50º48'E], Fars Province' and more recently from Shiraz, Fars Province (Anderson 1999). It is found in the foothill zone of 200 to 500 m asl (Szczerbak and Golubev 1996). The map shows the approximate area where this species might be present, although the range is still very poorly known.
