Range Description

This chameleon is endemic to the island of Madagascar, where it appears to be restricted to a relatively small area in the central-east highlands. It has been recorded from Ambohitantely and the Angavo-Anjozorobe corridor (Brady & Griffiths 1999, Raselimanana and Andriamampionana 2007). Its elevational range is estimated to be 1,200 to 1,500 m, and it has a presumed extent of occurrence of 676 km² based on the area of the known sites.
