Range Description

This species' range extends from the Balcones Escarpment of central Texas south to the Gulf Coastal Plain of Texas in the United States, and in Mexico through Coahuila and Tamaulipas to central Veracruz, Hidalgo, and Puebla, and inland onto the Mexican Plateau; the western edge of the known distribution reaches Aguascalientes and northern Michoacan. It occurs at elevations of up to 2,300 m asl (Camper and Dixon 1994, Camper 1996).
