Range Description

Tangara phillipsi was discovered in 1969 and is restricted to the northern end of Cerros del Sira in Hunuco, east-central Peru (Schulenberg et al. 2007). It is apparently fairly common within suitable habitat at the site (Schulenberg et al. 2007).
