Range Description

Amazilia cyanifrons occurs in north and central Colombia (del Hoyo et al. 1999). The subspecies alfaroana is known from Miravalles Volcano in Costa Rica, but it has not been recorded since 1895 (Underwood 1896) and is likely to be extinct.
