Sidamo lark

The Sidamo lark (Heteromirafra sidamoensis), also known as Liben lark, is a species of lark in the Alaudidae family. It is endemic to Ethiopia. Its natural habitats are dry savannah and subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland. It is threatened by habitat loss and unlike what had been believed previously, its population is rapidly declining. Listed as vulnerable since 2000 on the IUCN Red List, it was uplisted to endangered in 2007,[2] and then further to critically endangered in 2009.[1]
