Macrohabitat: Lowlands to midlands, 10-1200 meters altitude, in moist grasslands and at margins of muddy ponds. Microhabitat: Adults are ground-dwelling on moist substrate with patchy grasses. Dispersal abilities: Macropterous, primarily cursorial and fast running, adults fly. Seasonal occurrence: Adults are active in April. Adult activity is usually associated with local rainy season. Behavior: Adults are nocturnal, taking cover during the day at the base of dense grass clumps and among low vegetation. Adults are often attracted to lights at night.
