Range Description

Lepidothrix isidorei has a disjunct range, occurring on the eastern slopes of the Andes in north-west South America (del Hoyo et al. 2004). The nominate subspecies isidorei occurs rarely in Boyac, Meta and Cauca departments, Colombia. It is more common in east Ecuador, especially in the ro Bombuscaro area of Podocarpus National Park (del Hoyo et al. 2004, Restall et al. 2006). Subspecies leucopygia is a rare endemic to north Peru, occurring in San Martn and northern Hunuco (del Hoyo et al. 2004).
