This species can be found in the Amazonian lowlands of Peru (Departments of Amazonas, Huánuco, Junin, Loreto, Pasco, Madre de Dios, and San Martin), Amazonian Ecuador, southern Colombia, and adjacent western Brazil. It might occur in Bolivia, although this requires further investigation. It has an altitudinal range of 100-1,100m asl.
