Macrohabitat: Lowlands to uplands, 50-2110 meters altitude in hardwood forests and dry oak/pine forests. Microhabitat: On the ground or climbing plants. Dispersal abilities: Macropterous, capable of flight. Seasonal occurrence: Adults have been found in January, and March- November. Behavior: Adults are predaceous on tent and noctuid caterpillars. Copulating pairs in May- August. Adults are occasional climber on plants, e.g. Helianthus tuberosa L. Adults frequently found at lights at night and in beach drift.
