Range Description

This species was described from an unspecified locality in Kordofan in central Sudan, which lies between 12-16o N and 29-32o E in an area that ranges from arid (130 mm rain p/a) to fairly dry (700 mm rain p/a). This area has now been divided into three administrative regions (North, West and South Kurdufan). There are also unverified citations from Egypt and Libya (Schoolmeesters 2011). Because the species was described at a time when Kurdufan was administered by Egypt, it may have been cited erroneously as occurring in that country.
