Range Description

The recorded range of this species occupies a small area of the coast and hinterland of central Mozambique, at relatively low altitude, in mostly warm, wet situations (Australian CSIRO 1970-1986, unpublished records). All records, but one, are from an isolated area of higher rainfall that extends patchily from the Beira region inland to the Chimanimani Mountains. The exception is the type locality of Tete, which may be an inexact citation that refers to Tete province rather than the dry conditions of the city population centre of the same name.
