Range Description

This species is known from small tributaries of the extreme lower Cumberland and Ohio River drainages in Livingston and Crittenden Counties, Kentucky, USA (Taylor 2002). The extent of occurrence (EOO) of this species has been estimated at just over 1,700 km2. It is known from only five locations (based on the threat of the invasive species Orconectes rusticus): Fergasson, Sandy and Claylick Creeks, which are all tributaries of the Cumberland River; and Buck and Coefield Creeks, which are all tributaries of the Ohio River (Taylor 2002).
