This recently described species is known from the Lang Bian Plateau, Lam Dong Province, and Buon Luoi, Gia-Lai Province, in Viet Nam, and also from Huey Sapan in Lao People's Democratic Republic (although this locality could not be located and has not been used when mapping this species' range for this assessment). It might occur more widely.
