This species is known from Fan Si Pan Mountain, northern Viet Nam, on the Chinese border (Dubois 1983; Orlov et al. 2000). There are unconfirmed records from Cuc Phuong National Park (van Dijk pers. obs.) and perhaps from Doi Inthanon, Thailand (see Chan-ard et al. 1999), but these have been taken into account when mapping the range of this species, and its distribution remains very unclear.
