Range Description

This species is found in Australia and Papua New Guinea. It is widespread in the drier tropics and subtropics, from the Kimberleys in Western Australia to the Torres Strait and south to the Queensland-New South Wales border (T. Weir pers. comm., G.B. Monteith pers. comm. 2012). In Papua New Guinea, it has been reported from Aroa River; Mt Lawes, Port Moresby; Owarra; Rouku, Morehead River; Western Districts (T. Weir pers. comm. 2013). It is generally thought to be widespread in the savannah woodland of south west Papua New Guinea (Reid and Storey 2000), from Morehead River to Port Moresby area including Yule Island and at Owarra, Anva River.
