Nolina parryi is typically found at elevations 900 to 2100 meters, and is a California endemic. The bioregional distribution includes the southerns High Sierra Nevada (Kern Plateau), eastern San Bernardino Mountains, Peninsular Ranges, Desert Mountains and Sonoran Desert.
