Ascomata. Perithecial, superficial, 500-900 × 310-550 μm, ovoid, with short, straight, scattered, septate, brown, colourless-tipped hairs measuring 42-100 × 2.5-4 μm. Asci. 190-240 × 25-35 μm, with small apical ring, 8-spored, with spores arranged in two rows. Ascospores. Ellipsoid 25-32 (-35) × (12-) 13-17 μm; exospore thick; primary appendage triangular to somewhat cylindrical, 13-19 × 4-6 μm; upper secondary appendage lash-like, hollow at the base, symmetrically attached to the apex of spore, a similar but smaller secondary appendage at the distal end of the primary appendage; germ pore apical about 1.5 μm in diam.Trusted
