Ascomata. Apothecial, sessile or very short-stipitate, shallow cup-shaped, the margin even or crenate, externally whitish to creamy fawn, expanding and developing a somewhat wavy margin which remains entire or splits; regular in outline or irregularly rolled backwards, reaching 5-10 cm diam. Hymenium concave, becoming plane or convex, pale-brown, becoming darker with age, even or convoluted. Asci. Cylindrical, 325-345 × 15-20 μm. Ascospores. Ellipsoid, colourless, smooth, 13.5-18.75 × 10-11.25 μm, wall thickness 1.25 μm. Paraphyses. Slender, slightly enlarged above, yellowish or brownish.Trusted
