Vouauxiomyces santessonii D. Hawksw. was described as its anamorph. However, the type of V. santessonii grows on Platismatia, and it is not sure if the Abrothallus confined to this host (often called Abrothallus cetrariae Kotte) is conspecific with A. parmeliarum.
