Global Range: Lilium iridollae, as currently understood, ranges discontinuously from southern Alabama and northwest Florida to southeastern Virginia. However, many consider the plants of the Sandhills region of the Carolinas and Virginia to be a distinct species, L. pyrophilum (Skinner and Sorrie 2002). If L. pyrophilum is accepted as distinct, the range of L. iridollae is limited to Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton counties, Florida and Baldwin, Escambia, and Covington counties in adjacent Alabama.
