The Digital Urban BioKit - a modern naturalist’s observation notebook

June 12, 2014 12:13

A BioKit is a digital book that invites people to explore the fauna and flora of urban parks in Canada. This interactive tool makes it possible to note one’s observations and also allows the integration of photos, videos, drawings and quizzes. Participants have the opportunity to provide a summary assessment of the visited park and share it on the mybiokit.com website. A new iPad version will be launched on June 13, 2014.

The Encyclopedia of Life is partnering with the BioKit project to provide species information. See a collection of species for the Urban BioKit on EOL: http://eol.org/collections/104265

BioKits are a project of Environment Canada’s Biosphere, CREO and NTEO studios, and the SOFAD.
