Larva of Nusalala tesselata (Neuroptera:Hemerobiidae)

Description:

Larva of Nusalala tesselata over a cacao leaf. Over the larva head there is a remnant of an aphid (Toxoptera aurantii) captured and eaten by the larva. Species identification was possible by rearing larvae in the laboratory until adult emergence and sending them to identification by Dr. Sergio de Freitas (UNESP-Brazil).
