Discover EOL

Field Guides

EOL and iNaturalist have teamed up to make a new Field Guide application that integrates observations and can be used on mobile devices. Both the new iNaturalist field guide tool and the older version of EOL Field Guides enable you to create customized field guides based on authoritative EOL content. Start with an EOL collection (or a list of species) and then choose which text and images to include. You can also edit the text information to suit your own needs.

EOL Field Guides

We will continue to support the older version of EOL Field Guides, but no new development is planned.

Create your own personal field guide for a project, research or an outdoor adventure. The EOL Field Guide tool allows you to create customized guides based on authoritative EOL content. Start with a list of species and then choose which text and images to include from EOL. You can also edit the text to suit your own needs.
