Biodiversity Informatics Working Group

 Mission and Overview

The Biodiversity Informatics Working Group is responsible for creating and administering the software that powers EOL. The Group’s infrastructure aggregates data from hundreds of sites into species pages in EOL using tools that gather, organize, and present biodiversity content. Members of the team are based at the New Library of Alexandria, at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, and are aided by contributing developers around the world.
