Top of obturaculum carries 1-15 brown saucers on a central axial rod; if these are shed, traces of the axial structure remain. Red branchial filaments in concentric lamellae parallel to the obturaculum; most bear pinnules, but there are a few thin, smooth filaments at the ends of each row.
