Description of Parathelohania
The shape of the spore has a conspicuously ridged posterior end; the following description is based on P. anophelis in Anopheles quadrimaculatus (Diptera, Culicidae) and Microcyclops varicans (Copepoda, Cyclopidae) as the sequence in copepods has not yet been described for the type species; polymorphic and heterosporous, involving two generations of mosquitoes and development in copepods, which serve as alternate hosts; nuclei diplokaryotic and monokaryotic, involving meiosis in sporogony; type species P.legeri (Hesse, 1904) Codreanu, 1966.
