4/3/08, Desert Hot Springs, CA My daughter and I came upon what we thought was a Common King Snake, but turned out to be a Western Long Nose Snake with what seems to be a whiptail, perhaps Western Whiptail (Cnemidophorus tigris). We stayed for 30 minutes to watch the entire process of snake eating lizard. It was quite a sight!
