Zaprionus arduus Collart, 1937 is an Afrotropical species of the drosophilid genus Zaprionus Coquillett, 1902. It belongs to the inermis species group. It resembles Zaprionus indianus Gupta, 1970 in colloration, i.e. reddish yellow thorax and shining yellow abdomen, but lacks profemoral tubercles and spines. It is known from Congo and Côte d'Ivoire, and was bred from Musa sp. fruits.
