Citizen of the sandy oak scrub at the north end of Frenchman's Forest Natural Area. This imperiled plant is endemic to Florida. The flowers vary from snow white to deep pink and are much loved by honey bees, native bees and wasps. Also known as Sandhill Wireweed, it is a member of the buckwheat family.
