We visited the Boolanelling Nature Reserve (Bruce Rock) yesterday and found this beautiful native cockroach which was about 3cm long. It was trying to slip under the bark of the tree where it fitted easily.   Notice the transparent edges on the prothorax and wings.   Blattellidae Ectobiidae Balta insignis Thanks David Rentz for the ID.  Similar to one I photographed in 2008.
