Habitat and Ecology
Habitat and Ecology
The main habitat is the southern African habitat known as Karoo , which is an open, flat grassy type of habitat. This includes hilly and mountainous regions (Henning and Henning 1996). Individuals are scattered over wide areas (Pringle et al. 1994). In their arid habitat they are commonest around wetter, more lushly grassed depressions. The larval food plant is Ehrharta erecta (Poaceae) (Pringle et al. 1994).
