Range Description
Hauffenia subcarinata is endemic in Western Slovenia (and possibly in adjacent Italy), where it is known from springs along upper reaches of Soča river (Sket, pers. comm. 2010). It was first described from a freshwater spring in village Ložice near Deske in Soča valley (Slapnik, pers. comm, 2009).
