This species is native to southern Viet Nam and has only been recorded from one site in Dak Lak province, however its exact location is unknown. It is potentially threatened by logging and deforestation. More research is needed to discern the actual distribution and population trends. It is listed as Data Deficient, however more information on the species current distribution and threats may show it to be threatened.
