Biscutella neustriaca is listed as a priority species in Annex II of the Habitats Directive and under Appendix I of the Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats (Bern Convention).
It is protected at national level in France and listed as Vulnerable on the French red list (Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle 2003-2010). Three localities are about to receive a protection status (as Réserve Naturelle or Arreté de Protection de Biotope). Several hectares of habitats (hills above Seine river) are maintained open by cattle grazing.
